African Parks

African Parks, headquartered in Johannesburg, partners with governments to assume long-term responsibility for the rehabilitation and management of protected areas across the continent. Its model combines law enforcement, community development, and tourism to make parks ecologically and financially sustainable. As of October 2025 it managed 24 protected areas in 13 countries, covering over 20 million hectares, with a goal of 30 parks by 2030.
