Anera is a humanitarian NGO that has worked in Lebanon for decades. With a private donor, it installed 219 solar panels, 14 inverters and 24 lithium batteries at 14 community and health centers serving Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian communities. After one month of monitoring, the centers' combined electricity costs fell from an average of $13,205 to $7,145 per month, a 46% reduction, and they run exclusively on solar for an average of 11 hours a day. The savings go back into keeping clinics open and stocked.
