Fundación Banco de Bosques links donors directly to satellite-mapped plots of Argentina's threatened native forest, letting small recurring donations add up to large land purchases. Its flagship win was La Fidelidad, a 128,000-hectare Chaco estate whose purchase by public subscription — the first of its kind in Argentine history — became El Impenetrable National Park, home to jaguars, giant anteaters and tapirs. Operating with only a handful of permanent staff and no physical office, the foundation has gone on to protect forest tracts in Patagonia's Andean forest and Misiones' Atlantic jungle as well.
