The Circular Fashion Partnership Cambodia, led by Global Fashion Agenda with GIZ and implemented with Reverse Resources, Closed Loop Fashion and Circle Economy Foundation, launched in March 2025 at the Cambodia Global Textile Summit in Phnom Penh. It runs through 2025 and 2026 and targets 50 factories for waste assessments, training and standardised waste management systems. Funding comes from the H&M Foundation and private-sector contributions. The programme builds on a GIZ-led pilot on post-industrial textile waste recycling; Global Fashion Agenda estimates Cambodia's textile, garment and footwear industry generates about 140,000 tonnes of textile waste a year, mostly downcycled without regulation, burned or landfilled. No results have yet been published.
