Water For Cambodia is a US-registered nonprofit with a Cambodian team based in Siem Reap, now in its 20th year and best known for biosand water filters. Its sanitation work has built or renovated over 2,500 latrines in rural households and schools by the end of 2025, with school blocks sized to the Ministry of Education's latrine-per-pupil standards. Hygiene training covers latrine use, cleaning and the six steps of handwashing with soap. In 2025 it completed a Menstrual Health and WASH project in seven Siem Reap schools, with funder Just a Drop, local midwives and Green Lady Cambodia, covering cycle tracking, reusable pads and breaking taboos, and reaching 2,296 students, teachers and parents.
