Charm Industrial runs fast-pyrolysis units that process agricultural and wildfire-risk biomass into a stable bio-oil and biochar duo, injecting the bio-oil into deep geological storage wells where it can remain sequestered for millennia. Every tonne of removal is logged publicly on the company's Carbon Ledger and independently verified by Isometric, with corporate buyers including Stripe, Microsoft, Shopify, JPMorgan Chase and Alphabet. In January 2025, Google signed an offtake deal for up to 100,000 tonnes of removal credits delivered through Charm's bio-oil and biochar pathways.
