Clean Air Liberia, led by Sheck Sherif at United Methodist University with the Kigali Collaborative Research Centre, AfriqAir and Afri-SET, is building Liberia's first long-term PM2.5 monitoring network. Its EPIC Air Quality Fund award covers 20 low-cost monitors and one reference-grade monitor, and it signed an MoU with the Monrovia City Corporation for sensors across Greater Monrovia. Data are open, and the team advocates for Liberia's first national air quality standard. The fund named it one of seven awardee groups worldwide with national policy impact in 2025.
