CoCoDA works with community-run water boards, schools and clinics in El Salvador and Nicaragua. The largest solar-powered water system it has supported, in the canton of El Zapote, was inaugurated in June 2022 with 96 panels after running on grid power since 2004, and serves more than 2,500 families. CoCoDA reports 7 solar-powered water systems, including a new one with 63 solar panels in Suchitoto, and says it has supported 30 schools, community and health centers. In May 2026 it launched a MedStar Health program with Georgetown University in El Salvador.
