Common Goal: Football's Global Network for Social Change

Founded in Berlin in 2002 as streetfootballworld, the organisation built the first global network of grassroots football-for-good groups; in 2017 it launched Common Goal, a 1% salary pledge that lets professional players, coaches and clubs fund the network, and the two brands fully merged in 2021. Today Common Goal connects more than 200 community organisations across over 100 countries, engaging millions of young people annually through programmes on gender equality, refugee integration, health and peacebuilding. Athletes, brands and entire football clubs have pledged 1% of their salary or revenue to sustain the fund.
