DELVIC Sanitation Initiatives treats and recovers faecal sludge across Senegal, covering the full on-site sanitation chain from emptying to by-product recovery. It operates more than nine faecal sludge treatment stations and lists over 100 completed projects with over 20 technical and financial partners. It also operates a Sedron Omniprocessor that turns sludge into electricity, clean water and ash. A Stanford lab has worked with DELVIC in Dakar on turning sludge into fertiliser.
