EarthSpark International designs, builds, and operates community-scale solar microgrids in southern Haiti, replacing costly diesel generators and kerosene lamps with clean, metered power. Its microgrids in Les Anglais and Tiburon now serve hundreds of households and businesses alongside clinics and telecom towers, while pioneering 'feminist electrification' practices that put local women in charge of grid operations and pricing decisions. With support from the Green Climate Fund, EarthSpark is scaling toward dozens of new microgrids across rural Haiti over the next several years.
