Growing Singapore's Skyline into Farmland

Edible Garden City began in 2012 as a grassroots push to get Singaporeans growing food again, and has since built out working farms in shopping malls, hotels, schools and the world's highest edible garden atop a 51-storey office tower. It runs Queenstown Farm as its flagship community and production site, supplies dozens of restaurants through closed-loop urban farming, and trains everyone from office workers to students with disabilities in food growing and horticulture. The work directly supports Singapore's national '30 by 30' goal to produce 30% of its nutritional needs locally by 2030 in a country where over 90% of food is imported.
