El Porvenir partners with rural Nicaraguan communities on water systems, latrines, school handwashing stations, hygiene education and watershed restoration, from its base in Managua and regional offices in Terrabona, Camoapa, Comalapa, El Sauce and Waslala. Its website counts 300,000+ Nicaraguan lives changed since 1989. In August 2025 the 40 families of La Carreta and El Porvenir inaugurated a piped water system serving 144 people. Each project is built together with the community it serves.
