ELICO Foundation designs and installs decentralised solar systems in places the grid has not reached. Its health work spans Arusha, Iringa, Dodoma, Kigoma and Manyara regions, and its Kijanisha Afya project, funded by the Embassy of Ireland, ran from November 2023 to October 2024 with a EUR 600,000 budget to solarise facilities and water points in Dodoma and Kigoma. The organisation also supports solar water pumping and trains farmers and entrepreneurs in productive uses of energy. Its YouTube channel regularly documents new installations such as the solar upgrade at Lemooti Health Facility.
