Co-founded in 2012 by youth activist Khairunnisa Ash'ari, Green Brunei runs beach cleanups, school talks and tree-planting drives across the Sultanate, engaging Bruneian youth in hands-on environmental action. Its cleanups routinely partner with local companies and volunteers - a joint 2023 World Cleanup Day event with Hengyi Industries pulled 382.6 kg of waste from Serasa beach in a single morning, and a 2026 corporate cleanup partnership removed a further 114 kg. The group also publishes practical guides on recycling, solar power and rainwater harvesting to help households cut waste at the source.
