Green Team Tchad — Climate Action Clubs for N'Djamena Youth

Founded in 2023 by young Chadians responding to prolonged drought, desertification and water scarcity, Green Team Tchad runs "Eco-citoyenneté à l'école," a climate action club programme reaching 20 schools across N'Djamena's 7th and 9th districts. Between January and June 2025 the programme engaged around 2,000 students aged 10 to 18 through weekly workshops on public speaking, reforestation and cleanliness campaigns, supported by 50 teachers and school staff and 20 volunteer facilitators. The group has also established community tree nurseries and run seedling-donation drives to combat urban heat islands in the capital.
