Technic Destroy, operating as First Recycling, was founded in Almaty in 2009 and processes office and commercial electronics and batteries. In 2024 it launched Kazakhstan's first lithium-ion battery recycling line, backed by an investment of over 180 million tenge with part of the cost covered by BAT Kazakhstan. Local reports give the line a design throughput of 300 kg per hour, and the company processed more than 3,000 tonnes of batteries and electronic equipment in 2024. An Almaty City Development Center release dated 24 May 2026 still describes it as the only lithium-ion battery and e-waste recycling plant in Central Asia.
