Loowatt MG runs circular sanitation services in Madagascar's capital, where most households have no formal system to dispose of faecal waste. Its waterless flush toilet seals waste in a lining and drops it into a container below the floor, which a service team swaps for an empty one. Partner GasyGrow processes the collected waste through anaerobic digestion into biogas and fertiliser. Loowatt's 2025 Impact Report counts 1,250 toilets in Antananarivo feeding this loop, and the company says each household saves over 3,600 litres of water a year versus a low-flush toilet.
