MIfCAS, led by air quality scientist Collins Gameli Hodoli and built from members of the Ghana-based Clean Air One Atmosphere initiative, works with Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences and national agencies. With EPIC Air Quality Fund support it installed 24 low-cost monitors across 11 districts plus the country's first regulatory-grade monitor at Mzuzu University and another at the meteorological office in Blantyre. The Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services now issues weekly air quality bulletins from the data. Malawi's first Clean Air Regulation has been drafted, and MIfCAS has held five expert trainings.
