Mums for Lungs is a parent-led community interest company that began in South London in 2017 and campaigns across the UK for clean air, especially for babies and children. It champions School Streets, runs free air-pollution workshops in schools and pushes councils on diesel and wood-burning pollution. In September 2026 it announced winners of its first Kids for Clean Air art competition, whose designs are going onto lamppost banners for a year. Its current ask is a postcard campaign calling on the new Prime Minister for a Clean Air Act, while it warns that UK air-quality budgets have fallen from a high of 225 million pounds in 2020/21 to about 1.5 million pounds a year.
