Founded in April 2008 as Korea's first civil group of its kind, Native Seedream collects, multiplies and shares native (ν μ’ ) seeds and teaches traditional farming. As of 2024 it had collected over 10,000 native Korean seed varieties, built a seed database in 2022, and its network includes more than 45 local native-seed groups nationwide. Its headquarters is in Gokseong County, South Jeolla. In 2026 it announced autumn seed-sharing, ran monthly lectures, sold native cabbage seedlings and recruited volunteers and staff.
