Osa Conservation, founded in 2003, protects the rainforests, mangroves, and beaches of Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. Working with more than 370 local landowners and eco-lodges, it restores degraded mangrove forest, runs a camera-trap wildlife monitoring network, and builds arboreal bridges so animals like sloths and monkeys can safely cross roads and gaps in the canopy. The organization has restored over 200 hectares of mangrove and planted more than a million native trees.
