Seven Solar Pumps Bring Drip Irrigation to Narowal's Farms

Rural Aid Pakistan is a Pakistani NGO working with underserved rural communities on water, education, resilient livelihoods and essential services. With a Japanese Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects grant of about US$65,600, it built seven solar-powered irrigation pumps with drip systems in agricultural villages of Tehsil Shakar Garh, Narowal District, inaugurated by Japan's ambassador on 15 January 2025. Its own impact page reports the programme reached 17,230 people and trained 1,280 women in climate-smart agriculture.
