Canada's First Period-Equity Charity Has Handed Out 6.6 Million Products

The Period Purse is a Toronto-based Canadian charity working on menstrual equity, founded in 2017. Since then it reports more than 6.6 million period products donated, and over 13,000 people educated about healthy periods. It has seen 56 Canadian cities declare 28 May Menstrual Health Day, and 70 landmarks have been lit up red to raise awareness. It also advocates for free products in schools and workplaces and publishes guides such as how to build a period-friendly school.
