TRAID: Changing Fashion Waste for the Better

TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development) has run second-hand clothing shops and a nationwide network of clothing banks and home collections across the UK since 1999. Donated clothes are resold in its shops, exported for reuse, or broken down and remanufactured through its TRAIDremade upcycling label, diverting garments from incineration and landfill. The charity also funds international garment-worker and cotton-farmer projects with profits from resale, and campaigns to reduce fast-fashion's environmental footprint.
