The UAE Food Bank is a non-profit that redistributes surplus food to people in need through approved charities, locally and abroad; it launched on 4 January 2017 and is hosted by Dubai Municipality. Its 2025 annual ceremony reported more than 6,275 tonnes of surplus food diverted from landfill, over 23 million people benefiting from redistributed food, and more than 100 million meals distributed since its founding. Its Ramadan 2025 'United in Giving' campaign distributed nearly 8 million meals, beating a 7 million target, and diverted over 917 tonnes of food, cutting about 2.3 million kg of carbon emissions.
