Under The Mango Tree Society equips smallholder and tribal farmers across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh with indigenous Apis cerana beekeeping skills, turning them into pollinator stewards for their own fields. The program has trained more than 5,500 farmers across 175 villages in 14 districts, who report crop yield gains of up to 30-60% from improved pollination, plus new honey and beeswax income. Women's self-help groups have taken up beekeeping and honey processing as an added livelihood, and many participating farmers have cut back pesticide use that was harming their new hives.
