The Wheen Bee Foundation funds research into Australia's native bees and honey bees, runs pollinator education programs, and administers Community Tree Grants that fund local groups to plant pollinator-friendly trees and shrubs. In 2025 alone, 20 community groups planted more than 2,000 forage trees through the grants scheme, bringing the running total to over 7,200 trees, while its Bee Friendly Farming certification now covers nearly 59,000 hectares of farmland across 15 industries and 6 states. The Foundation also backs targeted species work, including a Green Carpenter Bee conservation project that located 28 bees in hibernation nests on Kangaroo Island.
