WildDominique is a Dominican-led nonprofit formed by local ecologists, agriculturalists and marine biologists working through three programs: Living Young (school and community education), Living Wild (species preservation, including the critically endangered mountain chicken frog and Lesser Antillean iguana) and Living Free (marine conservation and beach cleanups). Its bi-monthly community cleanups, run in partnership with 8 Dominican communities, have removed more than 10,000 pieces of trash from the island's coastline. The group also monitors invasive species threats and works to protect Dominica's native iguana and frog populations from disease and habitat loss.
