Wildlife Alliance: Rangers Guarding Cambodia's Cardamom Rainforest

Wildlife Alliance partners with Cambodia's Ministry of Environment to run daily ranger patrols across the Cardamom Mountains, stopping illegal logging, land-grabbing, and poaching. Rangers operating from stations throughout the landscape have kept elephant poaching in the Cardamoms at zero since 2006 and release thousands of rescued animals back to the wild each year. The organization pairs law enforcement with community development and alternative livelihoods to reduce pressure on the forest.
