World Cleanup Day, coordinated by Estonian-born NGO Let's Do It World, unites volunteers across the globe for a single day of cleaning litter and mismanaged waste. The 2025 edition on 20 September mobilised 25 million participants across 190 countries and territories, pursuing the 'Strive for Five' goal of engaging 5% of humanity. The movement grew out of a 2008 cleanup in Estonia and is now a UN-recognised international day.
