Based in Accra and registered in the US, The Or Foundation works alongside the traders of Kantamanto Market, where some 15 million secondhand garments from the Global North arrive every week and roughly 40% of bale contents become waste. The foundation runs beach cleanups, materials research, apprenticeships, and advocacy for extended producer responsibility in fashion. Its data has pushed global brands and policymakers to confront where discarded clothes really end up.
